Abstract

This paper presents an object oriented library based on programming with constraints. In particular, the constraints of this library are applied to common data structures such as queues, stacks, lists, trees, sets, bags, tables, matrices etc. The choice of these structures is natural since several applications can be expressed with these. The constraints are organised in a hierarchy of calsses and are predefined. Constraints may be generic or specific (i.e. related to a particular structure). Users may express their constraints by using or combining existing predefined constraints. Constraints which are specific to an application may be inserted by extending the library with appropriate classes.
