Abstract

Computer system IBM AS/400 has a reputation of a system with very strong support of data security. It is marked in many sources that "Nobody can break AS/400 security". PC networks with operative systems MS Windows (especially MS DOS) have a reputation of system with very weak security. But many companies chose Windows as system for client desktop (not even OS/2 - more "native" for AS/400) because of friendly user interface. In the article, we consider approach to support data security in heterogenous system "PC clients - AS/400 server".
